Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time. – Thomas Merton
The term Muses carries a double meaning for me. Not only are the Muses, the inspirational goddesses of literature, sciences and arts in Greek Mythology. It is also refers to “one being the muse to an artist or musician”, in other words, Muse is a synonym to being an inspiration.
That said, the name “Beamuse” can be broken into two instances:
- Be – – Muse: You becoming my inspiration, or
- Be – Amuse: Come and bedazzled by my outlook at art and design.
Hence placing the words together to signify that works produced are influenced by the many muses in my life.
Meet the Artist
As said by Merton, art and design has always been an inspiration for many things in my life and so births “Beamuse”.
Even though, my major is in animation and film however, my interest in art grows with experimenting in the arts and crafts. The interest never stops growing – from photography to painting; from crafting to sculpting; and from sketching to needlepoint. There is always something to learn.
